Discipling People

Jesus has called his followers to disciple others (Matt 28:18-20), but how has he made you specifically to disciple others? Where should you start?

1. Begin with the 16 Personalities Assessment.

This assessment (based on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) gets you pointed in the general direction (not a complete list) of how you’re wired.

2. Choose one Starting Point (out of three) according to your Personality Type.

This PDF has three starting points for discipling people for each personality type. Feel free to read through all the types to get a better sense of how to start.

3. Jump into a Starting Point, and ask for help.

Plans often fail without help from other people. Having others cheer you on, listen to your frustrations, and advise you on what to do next is valuable in this process. In our church, this is what Life Groups are for.
